The high school students of St. Johns Jesuit High School recently held a Lenten collection for the Little Sisters and their Residents of the Sacred Heart Home. The students brought in such items as body wash soaps, deodorant, shampoo, hand lotions, mouth wash and other needed items for use by our Residents.
The Sisters made an early morning visit to St. John’s and were featured as the guest news anchors on SJTV- 4 Titan News, the all student run TV station at their school. Sr. Cecilia and Sr. Margaret did a great job delivering the news and sports to the entire student body via the morning news show. Afterwards, the students helped the Sisters load up our collecting van with all the donated items. The Sisters were amazed at how much was collected, a whole van full of items for our Residents!
The Little Sisters wish to thank the St. John’s Jesuit community for this wonderful expression of giving towards those less fortunate, our needy elderly.
