A very special tradition at our Home is the “Halloween Pumpkin Trail”. This annual event goes back over 20 years and is looked forward to by all the Residents.
On the Saturday before Halloween the halls of our Home were filled with our Resident’s grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and children of the staff. The costumed children “Trick or Treated” through the Home and our Residents, many dressed in costumes themselves, handed out candy and treats. After the Pumpkin Trail was done, the festivities continued with the children gathering in the cloister for some delicious cider and cookies shared with their families. This annual tradition brought many smiles to both the faces of our Residents and the many children whom participated.
