We recently had a group of young women visit our Home who were on a vocational pilgrimage. They were accompanied by two Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George from La Cross, Wisconsin. These pilgrims were here to learn more about the Little Sisters and their Mission of caring for the needy elderly. The young women were able to meet with the Sisters and talk about vocations, share liturgy with us and visit with us for an entire day.
These young women, ages 14 to 24, are on a 12 day vocational pilgrimage visiting many religious orders and holy sites. They will be going to the North American Martyrs Shrine in Auriesville, NY, the Hawthorne Dominicans, the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist in Meridan, CT, the Abbey of Regina Laudis, Shrines of St. Katherine Drexel, St. John Newman, and the shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Emmitsburg, MD. Their vocational pilgrimage is being recorded and posted to an online blog here.
The Little Sisters were so pleased to have these young women visit with us for the day and will continue to pray for them as they discern their vocations.
