Since our founding by St. Jeanne Jugan, the Little Sisters of the Poor have always relied on partnering with volunteers in the community to meet our Mission of making the elderly happy.
This year we are so pleased to share that Mr. Bill Lindeman has been recognized as our outstanding volunteer of the year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Northwest Ohio Chapter.
On National Philanthropy Day, Nov. 15th, at a luncheon hosted by the local AFP chapter, Bill Lindeman was recognized for his volunteer efforts here at the Sacred Heart Home. Bill, who is a retired high school principal and master gardener, has volunteered regularly over the past few years to help us with the management of our grounds. Bill has a particular love and talent for maintaining our beautiful grounds here at the Home. He has very creatively used his skills to help us decrease time spent on exterior landscaping by teaching us how to utilize low maintenance plants, shrubs and trees. He is an accomplished gardener who readily shares his skills with other volunteers and our staff in helping to beautify our grounds.
Bill volunteers here at the Home to help make the outside of our Home an inviting and beautiful place for our Residents to enjoy and for visitors to admire. We congratulate Bill on his recognition today and encourage all friends of the Home to share their talents with us to help make the Residents happy.
