Fr. Joe has a unique perspective: he is both a Resident and the Chaplain of the Sacred Heart Home. Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis just before his ordination in 1991, he (like most of the Residents) has experienced the loss of some physical abilities. Physical loss, however, doesn’t mean the end of spiritual growth—not for Fr. Joe, not for anyone, no matter how old they are. His outreach to the Residents is spiritual and caring.
