After much anticipation over many weeks, we recently welcomed Mother Alice Marie to the Sacred Heart Home. All of the Residents were gathered under the porch, in the lobby and the cloister with festive signs saying “Welcome Mother Alice”. As she arrived and started to meet everyone she was presented with flowers and a welcome from two of our Residents. Then upon entering our Home the Residents and staff broke into song, singing “Consider yourself at Home, Consider yourself part of the family”. Mother Alice was touched by the out pouring of good will and welcoming spirit of our Home.
Mother Alice Marie, lsp comes to us from the St. Martin’s Home in Baltimore, MD. Originally from the Detroit area, she happens to be one of three Little Sisters in her immediate family including Sr. Alphonse Marie in Cleveland and Sr. Paul in California.
We are so pleased to welcome Mother Alice Marie to our Home and know that the Mission of the Little Sisters will continue strong here at the Sacred Heart Home.
