Today our Home was blessed to have 52 students from St. Rose School in Perrysburg here doing a service project by cleaning up our grounds. These 7th and 8th grade students had a lot of fun cleaning out all the weeds in our flowerbeds around the Home and spreading new mulch to beautify the grounds. They also learned about the Mission of the Little Sisters and how important volunteers are to continuing our work here at the Sacred Heart Home.
After working hard outside, the students came in to the Home and had a chance to meet with the Sisters and our Residents. They surprised our Residents during their lunch by giving them each candy bars wrapped with notes they had written.
We want to thank these students, their teachers, and parent volunteers for their time spent with us. They brought a lot of happiness to our Residents today!
