January is National Soup Month and our Home celebrated by having a fun filled and nourishing Soup Cook Off!
We gathered together in the auditorium to sample an amazing variety of homemade soups prepared by our staff and Residents. We had such homemade soups as Cabbage, Cream of Parisian, Fava Bean Pasta, Cream of Broccoli, Chili, Chicken Noodle and Vegetable. Each of these delicious soups were sampled and rated in a people’s choice award. The winner of this year’s Soup Off was Martha Dunn with her Cream of Broccoli homemade soup!
We’ll have to see what our activity department has cooking up for us next month, as February is National Hot Breakfast month!
