The Sisters were so happy today to have a number of Rotarians and some of their family members show up for the annual spring cleanup of the grounds.
Members of the downtown Toledo Rotary Club gave up their Friday morning to volunteer their labor at the Home and cleanup the grounds. Under the direction of Bill Linderman, our Master Gardener volunteer, the Rotarians cleaned out flower beds, transplanted plants, edged all the sidewalks, and de-wormed the evergreen trees on the property. This project in conjunction with a grant received from the Oregon-Northwood Rotary Club will allow for the complete re-design of one of the landscaping beds seen at the main entrance to our Home.
The Rotary Club of Toledo has been volunteering for this service project for the past 3 years. The members enjoy the chance to help out the Little Sisters and get in some quality outdoor time working on the grounds.
