We were recently blessed to have students from Marquette Academy stop by our Home for a visit and to do service for our Residents. These high school students and their chaperones were on their way to the March for Life in Washington DC scheduled for later that same week. They stopped here in Oregon and Toledo to do service projects here at the Little Sisters and at Helping Hands in Toledo. Accompanied by two Priests from the Diocese of Peoria, IL, these students became acquainted with the spirit of our Mission when they visited. They attended liturgy with us and received a special blessing for their pilgrimage. Then they helped serve lunch to our Residents and cleaned the entire dining room. We are very grateful for their service to our Residents and hope that their brief visit with us was a witness to them of how compassion, love and service to the elderly are also ways of respecting life in all its stages.
