One very special tradition of our Home is the Halloween Pumpkin Trail. This annual event goes back over 20 years and is looked forward to by children and Residents alike.
On the Saturday before Halloween the halls of our Home were filled with our Resident’s grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and children of the staff here at the Sacred Heart Home. The costumed children “Trick or Treated” through the Home and our Residents costumed in their best Halloween finery gave out candy and treats. After the Pumpkin Trail was done, the festivities continued with the children gathering in the auditorium for some delicious cider and cookies shared with their families. This annual event brought many smiles to both the faces of our Residents and the many children whom participated.
