On the Saturday before Halloween, the Residents dressed up in their best Halloween costumes and passed out candy and treats to their grandchildren, nieces, nephews and children of the staff here at the Sacred Heart Home. Between 70 and 100 children under the age of 14 dressed in costumes and trick or treated throughout the Home bringing smiles to the faces of the elderly.
This annual event goes back over 20 years and is looked forward to each year by the children and Residents alike. After the Pumpkin Trail was done, the festivities continued with the children gathering in the auditorium for some delicious cider and cookies shared with their families.
As evidenced by the smiles on their faces, a good time was had by all!
