Pope Benedict’s December intention for the Apostleship of Prayer is a relevant one for life in our home: “Personal suffering as a help to others who suffer—That our experience of suffering may help us better understand the pain of the many people who are alone, sick, or aged, and stir us to generous help.”
Our chaplain, Rev. Joseph Weigman, is a shining example for us of someone who puts his experience of suffering at the service of others day in and day out, year round. Father’s story was recently featured by the Toledo diocese’s newspaper, the Catholic Chronicle.
