Today about 30 students from Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School came to our Home to give service to the elderly. They gathered together in our auditorium and watched a brief video on the life of St. Jeanne Jugan and then were divided up into groups for tours throughout the Home. After getting a tour, each group was assigned a different area within the Home to help out for a few hours. These students helped with activities, by visiting with Residents, working in the kitchen doing some stocking of donated goods, and washing windows. Their service to our Home was gratefully appreciated.
Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School is part of the Kateri Catholic School system located here in Oregon, Ohio and serves students from across NW Ohio. On Friday, Sept. 14th the entire high school suspended classes and all students were released in groups to do a day of service in their communities. We were fortunate to have these smiling, cheerful students at our Home to brighten the lives of our Residents.
