On July 16th the Little Sisters hosted their annual golf outing to benefit the Sacred Heart Home located in Oregon, Ohio. This year’s outing was held at Eagles Landing in Oregon and included close to 100 golfers. Everyone had a great day and the weather cooperated by being slightly hot, but rain free. Golfers were treated to a lunch of “Brats on the Go” as they geared up to start their afternoon of golf.
After coming in off the links, golfers checked out the prize tent and were surprised to find that every foursome of golfers received a prize! No one went home empty handed. Some golfers took advantage of the chance to “out putt a Sister” and bet against three of the Sisters on the putting green. After a brief happy hour to cool down and refresh themselves, golfers were treated to barbeque of chicken and ribs prepared by Gladiuex catering, who donated the food for this event.
So many golfers commented on the great day of golf, the casual atmosphere and the chance to socialize with the Little Sisters. Golfers were especially positive about the opportunity to come together and donate in a fun way to such a worthwhile cause. Thanks go out to the volunteer planning committee who did an excellent job of organizing this year’s event. All proceeds went towards the care of the Residents at the Sacred Heart Home. We look forward to hosting the golf outing again next year and growing the number of golfers.
