The 5th Annual Celebrity Chefs at The Pinnacle event was a great success! We had wonderful attendance and our 14 Celebrity “Priests” Chefs helped us raise needed support for our Home. Our theme this year was “Caring Through The Decades” and we involved our Celebrity Chefs by wearing period hats from the 1900’s to the present.
Lynn and Dan Anderson, our Masters of Ceremony, did an excellent job on stage and our guests really enjoyed themselves. We had four Chefs Stations serving different foods from the 1900’s to the present; Stuffed Mushrooms, Caesar Salads, Fried Chicken, Waldorf Salads, Beef Stroganoff, Fettuccine Alfredo with Cajun Chicken, Sliders, and Bacon Wrapped Almond Stuffed Dates – just to name a few. Guests were entertained by the live video streams of the Chefs in action as they were interviewed by Mark Thees, owner of the Pinnacle. The Chefs talked about the great food they were serving and asked the guests to help support the Little Sisters with a donation. Guests especially enjoyed the live auction of Msgr. Dennis Metzger, for one of his famous “Rectory Dinners”, and two wine dinners auctioned off with Rev. Robert Wilhelm and Rev. Daniel Zak as hosts. Lastly we auctioned off University of Michigan vs. Ohio State University football tickets and had Sr. Margaret and Sr. Raymond holding up their favorite teams colors to help get the bids started. We also had many unique items in our silent auction and our ever popular Mystery Boxes sold out in record time.
Special thanks go out to Mark Thees, Lynn and Dan Anderson, and our wonderful volunteers for helping to make this event a success. All in all, it was a great event that helped raise much needed support for the Sacred Heart Home.
