On a recent foggy and cool Friday morning, we held our annual Little Sisters golf outing. The day started with a slight rain delay, but by 8:15AM we had 31 foursomes all lined up for a fun day of golf. Mother Alice Marie thanked everyone attending and wished them well, as she sounded the bullhorn to send the golfers to their first holes.
As the morning progressed and the sun came out, the golfers enjoyed their day and loved talking with the Sisters as they bought their raffle tickets. Then after about five hours of play, the golfers came off the course and were surprised with a door prize for each foursome. Everyone then enjoyed a delicious chicken and ribs dinner prepared by our own Sacred Heart Home food services.
During the luncheon we announce the winners of our many exciting raffles and drew the winner of our 50/50 raffle. Lastly, we tallied up all the team scores and were happy to announce the top three winners, which each received special foursome prizes. The winning team led by Paul Gaul had a score of 54, which was 18 under par! Paul was excited as this was his second year in a row to win our golf outing. Everyone had a great day as wonderful fellowship was shared together in support of the Little Sister’s Mission of caring for the needy elderly.
The Sisters want to thank all the sponsors and underwriters of this event, and especially the team of loyal volunteers that helped plan and make this year’s golf outing a great success!
